We are seeking a detail-driven Dimensional Controller to join our team and ensure our projects meet exacting dimensional standards.

Position Overview

The Dimensional Controller is responsible for verifying, monitoring, and controlling dimensional accuracy throughout the fabrication, assembly, and installation phases of EPC-EM projects. This role ensures that all components meet specified tolerances, alignments, and quality requirements, minimizing rework and ensuring safe, high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional inspections on fabricated and installed components using advanced measurement tools and techniques.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, specifications, and tolerance requirements.
  • Conduct surveys and alignment checks using equipment such as laser trackers, total stations, photogrammetry systems, digital levels, and conventional measurement tools.
  • Validate and document dimensional conformity at key project milestones.
  • Create detailed dimensional reports and communicate results to engineering, quality, and construction teams.
  • Support root-cause analysis for dimensional deviations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with fabrication shops, field installation teams, and project managers to ensure dimensional control requirements are understood and implemented.
  • Maintain calibration and proper use of all measurement equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of dimensional control processes and standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Metrology, Surveying, Quality Control, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of dimensional control, metrology, surveying, or relevant quality inspection experience (EPC or industrial environment preferred).

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of geometric tolerances (GD&T) and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with dimensional measurement equipment (laser tracker, total station, scanners, micrometers, etc.).
  • Experience with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Leica, Faro, or similar metrology tools.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret measurement data accurately.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and coordinating across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in fast-paced project environments.
