RF Coil/Electronics Technician

Due to the company's continued Global expansion in the delivery of our World leading, pre-clinical multi-modality imaging systems, the following vacancy, based at our facility in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, has been created.

MR Solutions is looking to recruit a motivated RF Coil/Electronic Technician to join the team.

Main Duties:

  • Building low noise preamplifiers at various frequencies within the range 30 MHz to 300 MHz
  • PCB modification with assembly and wiring work on PCBs and cables.
  • Working with surface mount components down to 0805 size
  • Testing of preamplifiers, including gain, noise figure measurements, reflection coefficient and all usual RF Measurements
  • Thorough and accurate documentation of test results
  • Following Engineering Drawings and detailed work instructions.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Quality Procedures.

Skills/Qualifications

  • The person should ideally have experience in electronics assembly/rework with knowledge of RF and analog electronics
  • Experience with the use of network analysers, spectrum analysers, function generators and oscilloscope
  • Dexterity with soldering iron essential
  • The technician will be able to learn on the job and gain experience of MRI Systems
