Job Description

PSM Recruitment are seeking a highly skilled MOT Tester/ Vehicle Technician, for a brand new set up garage based in New Romney. If you're passionate about automotive excellence and want to be part of an exciting new venture, we'd love to hear from you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct MOT tests on cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance to ensure vehicles are in top condition.
  • Provide customers with clear and accurate advice on repairs, maintenance, and MOT results.
  • Maintain high standards of workshop cleanliness and safety .
  • Keep detailed records of work completed, including MOT tests, repairs, and any parts used.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the workshop.

Ideally, You Will Have:

  • Full MOT Tester qualification (Class 4 and 7).
  • Proven experience as a Mechanic , with strong diagnostic skills and a solid understanding of vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • A valid driving licence .
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and MOT testing procedures .
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and keeping customers informed about the work carried out.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for the automotive industry.

Salary £35,000, Hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, could include some Saturdays
