Our vision is to provide Nurture, Hope, and Restoration through professional counselling, wellbeing resources and compassionate mental health support.

About the Role

We're looking for a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our growing team.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine clinical expertise with a person-centred, trauma-informed approach to supporting individuals in emotional distress. This is a role with potential to become a full-time position as the charity expands.

  • Contribute to the development of mental health policies and training within the charity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and document risk (self-harm, suicide, safeguarding).
  • Provide clinical input and advice to counsellors and trainees.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential case notes on the Lamplight system.
  • Attend team meetings and supervision.
  • Support training or awareness sessions for staff when required.

  • At least 2 years' experience in a mental health setting (NHS, charity, or private).
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Training or experience in trauma-informed care, counselling, or crisis work.
  • Experience supporting both adults and young people (11+).
  • Familiarity with working in community or voluntary sector settings.

Personal Qualities

  • Compassionate, calm, and professional.
  • Reflective and committed to ethical, client-centred care.
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.

What We Offer

  • Supportive, trauma-aware working culture.
  • Regular clinical supervision and reflective practice.
  • Employment Assistance Package for well-being support.
