Wrexham AFC: Grounds Person

The main objective is to maintain the facilities across Wrexham AFC sites which includes the SToK Cae Ras stadium and The Rock Stadium .

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and maintain the pitches both grass and artificial across our sites.
• Maintain general landscaping areas as directed by Head Groundsperson,
• Liaise with Head Groundsperson and others to support planned facility use and ensure required standards are achieved.
• Maintain and operate pitch irrigation systems.
• Possess a thorough understanding of legislation relating to chemicals and dangerous substances.
• Check facilities, plant buildings and equipment to ensure safe working practices and health and safety legislation compliance.
• Ensure all materials and equipment are correctly stored, maintained and serviced.
• Actively promote safe practices of self and others.
• Conduct basic risk assessments, develop contingency plans and be able to respond to emergencies.
• Support the efficient use of resources.
• Any other duties as requested.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• An NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in Sports Turf or Greenkeeping.
• Experience of working within a sports turf environment is desirable.
• PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying qualifications would be useful.

• Excellent planning, organisation and time management skill with the ability to multi-task and have attention to detail.
• Reliable and understands and practices confidentiality.
