Annual Salary: £36,400.00 DOE

+ Overtime and Bonus Payment

OTE £45,000 - £50,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, although flexible working hours will be considered.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Panel Beater from either a Bodyshop or Accident Repair background to join our highly skilled team at our leading automotive Volkswagen Group Accident Repair Centre, where our priority is a working environment that focuses on the highest quality of repairs.

You will be given fantastic times on job cards, offering generous bonus hours with high earning potential.

This position is for skilled Panel Beater and requires an experienced candidate who can complete all vehicle repairs to damaged vehicles. ATA, NVQ 3 or IMI 3 qualifications are desirable.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for the following –

• Perform high quality repair and replacements.
• Stripping and fitting panels and bodywork.
• Replacement of panels.
• Welding and bonding of vehicle structure.
• Adherence to manufacturer's literature and modification bulletins as appropriate to the repair and replacement of chassis and panel work.
• Ensure all equipment used, including jigs, fixtures and welding equipment, is operated in a accordance with defined safety requirements.
• Repair and replace body components of damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition and to VWG standards.
• Handle all vehicles with due care and attention, ensuring the customer care/satisfaction is always maintained.
• Keep all tools and equipment safe and in a clean, workable condition.
• Awareness and adherence to all housekeeping and Health & Safety regulations and policies applicable to your position and working environment.

About You:

• A working and demonstratable knowledge of vehicle panel repairs.
• Carry out all panel beater repair work on all makes of vehicles, with the ability to demonstrate a full range of vehicle body repairs, including jig work.
• Relevant Panel qualifications – IMI 3, NVQ 3, or ATA Panel Beater Accreditation desirable.
• Panel Beater experience is essential.

Technical Job Knowledge:

Qualified Staff – Your main workload will be completed with minimal supervision, and include providing direct supervision to non-qualified technicians, where applicable.

Non-Qualified Staff – Your main tasks will be completed with direct supervision from a qualified Technician
