The Uplawmoor Hotel is a small, award winning 14 bedroom 3 star hotel and destination eating place, situated in the tranquil Renfrewshire village of Uplawmoor 12 miles to the South East of Glasgow.

Our Kitchen serves food to the public from 10am until 9.00pm every day.

We pride ourselves on serving good quality homemade food using fresh produce from local suppliers. This includes, but is not limited to, daily baked breads, preserves, pate, desserts, and most of our menu.

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join our team to organise the kitchen's activities, therefore, you will be in charge of the day to day running and management of the kitchen and kitchen staff. As the first in command in the kitchen, you will bring enthusiasm and passion to lead the team to continued success and beyond. Creating exciting new menus, controlling GP and stock, and organising rotas.

Additionally, the successful applicant will have experience managing a professional kitchen environment currently as Head Chef and will be responsible for motivating his or her team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and instruct fellow chefs on the preparation of meals and the kitchen workflow.
  • An ability to manage all aspects of the kitchen with attention to detail and to consistently set high standards.
  • Ensure that the kitchen complies with food hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure that stock is managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Supervise and train staff.
  • Adhere to company health and safety standards.
  • Stimulate creativity in others.
  • 5 shifts from 7 per week, 2 days off
  • Successful application will require a reference check.

Pay: £37,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
