Alongside our managed IT services, we run a full repair and hardware supply operation, giving our clients a complete one-stop IT partner for everything from proactive support to full infrastructure design and installation.

Role Description

We're looking for an IT Support Engineer to join the team at IT Fast. You'll be part of a busy, supportive environment where a proactive mindset, strong communication and technical skill are key.

This is an office-based role at our Datchet headquarters. You'll be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to our clients, troubleshooting issues across hardware, software and networks, and assisting with larger projects such as network installations, server upgrades and infrastructure rollouts.

You'll also occasionally attend client sites, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own car are essential. Use of a company vehicle can be provided when attending installations or site visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to business clients, ensuring fast and professional resolution of incidents and requests.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues across Windows 10/11, macOS, and Windows Server 2016–2025 environments.
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments, including user management, application deployment and security configuration.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, and network printers.
  • Configure, install and support routers, firewalls, switches and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Assist with on-site installations, including networking equipment, servers and end-user hardware.
  • Keep clear and detailed documentation within the helpdesk system.
  • Work collaboratively within the support team to maintain high client satisfaction and consistent service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for system and process improvements for clients.

Qualifications


• Minimum 2 years' experience in IT support (MSP experience strongly preferred).


• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration.


• Hands-on experience with Azure and Intune for device management and policy control.


• Confident supporting Active Directory and Windows Server 2016–2025.


• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and protocols.


• Excellent communication, documentation and customer service skills.


• Full UK driving licence and own car required.
