Senior Bid Manager – IT Services | £50,000–£60,000 + Bonus | York | Hybrid

I'm supporting a UK technology business that's looking for a Senior Bid Manager to take ownership of end-to-end bids across IT Services, Managed Services, Security, Collaboration and wider digital transformation programmes.

This is a strategic role where you'll set the win themes, manage complex submissions, work closely with technical and commercial teams, and ultimately shape proposals that genuinely stand out in a competitive market.

The role includes:


• Leading high-value, complex IT bids through the full lifecycle


• Developing win strategies across both public-sector frameworks (CCS, G-Cloud, YPO) and private-sector tenders


• Pulling together multi-disciplinary virtual teams and facilitating solution workshops


• Managing all timelines, governance, compliance and bid quality


• Writing, editing and polishing proposal content to a high standard


• Acting as the central point of contact during the bid process


• Mentoring junior team members and driving continuous improvement in bid performance


• Tracking opportunities, maintaining content libraries, and managing framework portal listings

What they're looking for:


• A proven Bid Manager with experience leading £1m+ IT services bids


• Strong knowledge of UK public-sector procurement


• Excellent written communication — able to turn technical info into clear, compelling value


• Confident working with sales, technical SMEs, commercial and legal teams


• Experience with ITIL / ISO27001 helpful


• Someone calm under pressure who can juggle multiple deadlines without drama

Nice to have:


• APMP or similar


• Degree in Business/Marketing/Technology


• Experience within IT services, digital transformation, or infrastructure-led organisations
