Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each individuals needs
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals, ensuring a respectful and caring environment
  • Monitor and report on clients' health status, noting any changes or concerns
  • Assist with medication as per training and guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, ensuring compliance with organisational policies
  • Communicate effectively with team members, healthcare professionals, and family members to deliver seamless care
  • Support clients with home care tasks, including light housekeeping and meal preparation where appropriate

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate client transportation when required
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and using relevant software systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine interest in caring for others and improving their quality of life

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.70 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
