Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our expanding UK finance team. This role will support the Finance Manager in maintaining accurate financial records, managing commission and expense processes, and contributing to month-end, audit, and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

·       Prepare and process commission payments for distributors and network partners.

·       Reconcile commission data with sales and system reports.

·       Prepare and review expense reports for supplier and operational payments.

·       Ensure supplier invoices are correctly coded, approved, and paid on time.

·       Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.

·       Record and manage accruals and prepayments monthly.

·       Prepare journal entries for review by the Finance Manager.

·       Prepare and maintain the sales reconciliation file.

·       Assist with month-end close and preparation of the financial pack.

·       Complete balance sheet reconciliations for review.

·       Assist with VAT and OSS (One Stop Shop) returns.

·       Support audit preparation, providing schedules and documentation.

·       Provide ad hoc analysis, reporting, and administrative support as required.

Requirements

·       
Essential:

·       Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.

·       Solid understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Xero, NetSuite, or similar).

·       Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·       
Desirable:

·       Experience in a direct selling or network marketing environment.

·       Knowledge of VAT/OSS returns and European tax compliance.

·       Familiarity with commission structures and sales reconciliations.

·       Part-qualified or studying towards a professional accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
