An opportunity has arisen to join our growing Catering Team as a Catering Assistant. The team work across the Bradford College Campus to deliver a high-quality service to our students, staff and visitors. The role involves the preparation and service of food and beverages, general kitchen duties, and receiving payments through cash and cashless systems.
If you can provide outstanding customer service, work well under pressure and can communicate clearly, with respect and patience, then apply You do not need previous experience of working in kitchen, full training will be provided as will be the opportunity for gain qualifications such as a Level 2 Food Safety Award.
This is a term-time role working 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
Responsibilities include:
- To prepare and serve food and beverages across the Bradford College campus
- To work as part of the team delivering an excellent customer service to all customers
- To ensure the food preparation areas remain clean, tidy and hygienic at all times, carrying out cleaning duties as required.
- Receive payments using cash and cashless systems.
- To consistently demonstrate behaviour in line with Bradford College's values
- To comply with current food safety and health and safety requirements, to implement all necessary policies and procedures
- To maintain high standards of personal and professional standards at all times
- Other ad hoc tasks as required

Education & Training
- GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
- GCSE 4 - 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test before the interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
Experience
- Previous experience of working in customer facing roles
- Previous experience of working in a team
