Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team full-time. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years. As a Room Leader, you would be tasked with guaranteeing the smooth running of your room, ensuring all paperwork is up-to-date and supporting junior member of staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive and compassionate care to children in the nursery setting.
  • Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote children's learning and development.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting them accurately and overseeing an effective key worker system
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child, and with staff to support a positive and productive working environment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment that meets health and safety standards.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities ensuring the smooth running of the room.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a minimum of Level 3 Childcare equivalent are required.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is highly necessary.
  • Valid Paediatric First Aid Qualification and minimum Level 2 Safeguarding are required.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
