PSi Talent has formed a partnership with a leading global provider of high-performance harness components and electro-mechanical products, catering to critical sectors such as Aerospace, Defence, Energy, Industrial, Medical, and Motorsport. Our client has announced an exciting opportunity for the role of Technical Manager, focused on managing the Technical Department in providing technical solutions (existing and new products), promptly and efficiently to all stakeholders in order to deliver sales and margin growth above target.

Technical Manager - Responsibilities include:

  • Manage, coordinate and oversee Technical team activities and workload.
  • Provide assistance/support to the general duties undertaken by Technical team.
  • Provide support to Group Product Director of new product introductions and sales of diversification products.
  • Support Product Marketing literature and campaigns, taking a lead role on local initiatives whilst supporting Group initiatives
  • Talent enhancement management of the Technical team staff members. 
  • Responsible for the company product training program
  •  Management of CI & KPI programs for the technical team.
  • Take the lead on website product support (e.g. Assisting on new Products publicised / maintenance aspects of others).

Technical Manager - Desirables include:

  • An electrical/engineering background (ideally qualified to HND / BTEC level or higher). 
  • Ideally 5 years managerial experience within an electrical interconnect-based working environment. 
  • Good knowledge of the requirements of, and the ongoing trends within the multiple markets that the company serves.
  • Continuous improvement oriented – has familiarity with lean and change management principles.
  • Embraces and thrives on challenge and stretch goal
  • Oversea client management 

Technical Manager - Essential include:

  • Industry knowledge. Needs electrical interconnection experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role 
  • Website product support experience 
  • Product knowledge 
  • Ability to lead a team
  • Experience of new product introductions
