What You'll Be Doing
As a Kitchen Porter, you'll be a key part of the kitchen team, supporting chefs and wider operations by ensuring all kitchen and back-of-house areas are clean, safe, and efficient. You'll play a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes – from washing up to helping receive deliveries.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role that requires strong attention to detail, good time management, and a team-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and utensils to a high standard
- Keep kitchen and wash-up areas clean, tidy, and organised
- Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained, and ready for use
- Support the goods-in process: check deliveries, record temperatures, and store food hygienically
- Maintain clean and organised food and equipment storage areas
- Follow cleaning schedules and COSHH safety guidelines
- Safely handle and dispose of rubbish; keep bin areas clean and compacted
- Sweep/mop floors, wipe walls and surfaces, and reset areas for the next service
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks requested by management

- Excellent attention to detail with high cleanliness standards
- Works well under pressure and at speed
- Understanding of food hygiene and COSHH regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
