Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Locum / CT3 / Specialty Doctor to join our multidisciplinary team at NHS TRUST . The role involves providing high-quality clinical care, contributing to departmental service delivery, and supporting training and supervision of junior doctors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care in accordance with NHS guidelines and Trust policies.
  • Participate in ward rounds, clinics, and procedures relevant to the specialty.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and complete necessary documentation.
  • Supervise and support junior medical staff where appropriate.
  • Participate in audit, quality improvement, and continuing professional development activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Essential:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice in the UK.
  • MBBS / MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
  • Evidence of relevant postgraduate training (CT1-CT3, Specialty Doctor level experience, MRCP/MRCS or equivalent).
  • Competence in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and relevant procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of professional practice.

Desirable:

  • Prior NHS experience in the relevant specialty.
  • Experience in teaching, supervision, or mentorship of junior staff.
  • Experience in audit, quality improvement, or research.
  • Knowledge of NHS systems and electronic patient records.

Working Hours and Pay:

  • Full-time or part-time locum arrangements available.
  • Pay according to NHS Agenda for Change or locum rates (dependent on specialty, experience, and sessional commitments).
  • Flexible rotas and shifts may be available.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £55.00-£70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
