Senior Full Stack Engineer (AI-Driven Systems) - Berkeley Myles (Hybrid - Glasgow, UK)

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with deep technical expertise and strong product sensibility to join our growing team as we evolve our enterprise platform into a modern, AI-enhanced SaaS solution.

This role offers the unique opportunity to lead by doing—you will own critical technical initiatives, drive the adoption of AI-enhanced software practices, and work closely with product and design leaders to shape the future of the platform. The right candidate will be poised to grow into a technical leadership role as the team expands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, build, and deploy robust and scalable full stack applications with a focus on security, performance, and maintainability
• Lead hands-on implementation of AI-driven development practices including code generation, test automation, observability, and intelligent infrastructure
• Partner with product and UX to ship intuitive, high-impact user-facing features
• Mentor junior engineers, establish quality standards, and participate in code reviews
• Guide modernisation efforts including legacy code refactoring, modularisation, and cloud-native migration
• Contribute to technical decision-making and shape future hiring for the engineering team

Tech Stack You'll Use:

• Backend: C#, .NET Core, Web API, REST
• Frontend: React (preferred), or Vue/Angular
• AI Tooling: GitHub Copilot, LLM-powered assistants, prompt frameworks
• DevOps/Infra: Docker, GitHub Actions, Azure or AWS
• Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL

What We're Looking For:

• 6+ years of full stack software engineering experience, with clear impact and ownership
• Deep proficiency in .NET Core and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Practical experience deploying or integrating AI/ML in the software development lifecycle
• Exposure to SaaS architecture and cloud-native design patterns
• Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals: version control, automated testing, CI/CD
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
• Proven ability to operate independently and influence cross-functional teams

Preferred Experience:

• Leading greenfield or re-architecture efforts
• Working in a high-compliance or data-sensitive environment
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, vector search, or AI toolchains
• Participation in open source projects or technical writing a plus
