Financial Monitoring Officer

Part of LSL Property Services plc, PRIMIS Mortgage Network are the largest Mortgage and Protection Network in the UK with some 1000 firms as business partners and circa 3000 advisors working alongside us. The FS division also includes TMA and Linear Financial Solutions.

We are keen to recruit a Financial Monitoring Officer to join our Broker Services team within LSL's Financial Services Division.

The role of the Financial Monitoring Officer is to assess the solvency and fitness and propriety of all the Partner Mortgage Advisory firms and their advisers by reviewing, understanding, and interpreting information required for the annual financial review process

The role will be based partly out of our HQ site on the Methuen Business Park in Chippenham and partly Home Working (hybrid)

Main accountabilities:

  • Competently complete financial reviews in line with network standards and Regulatory requirements ensuring solvency and fitness and propriety can be evidenced
  • Check reviews against Financial Monitoring guidelines and exercise judgement when assessing information
  • Be competent in understanding, identifying, and interpreting financial monitoring risk
  • Manage a pipeline of reviews ensuring they are assessed in line with network and FCA requirements
  • Maintain personal knowledge of FCA regulatory and internal guidance and procedural changes to ensure accurate assessment of files.
  • Maintain continuous professional development (CPD) by maintaining knowledge of FCA regulatory and internal procedural changes to ensure accurate assessment of files.

Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Knowledge of processes in a regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to collate and distribute Management information as required
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ideally some understanding of the FCA AR Regime

Salary - £26,000 Full Time

Based on the Methuen Business Park in Chippenham although we do offer hybrid being a split of remote working / office.
