The A - Team Receptionist
Location: London
Reports To: Operations Manager
Mission & Behaviours
We exist to provide outstanding experiences to our clients' customers and colleagues in a way that amplifies their brand.
Curiosity, is the 'Why?' and the 'What if? It's the questions we ask ourselves every day.
It's having the mindset that there are always ways to improve and the willingness to find out how. When we are curious, we are proactive and not reactive.
Curiosity is fostered at Amplify. We encourage you to be uncomfortable with the status quo and to always strive for improvement — for our clients, our business and yourself.
The pursuit of providing outstanding experiences takes commitment, day-in, and day-out. Each day we ask you to strive to be the best through your work ethic, knowledge, and teamwork.
We understand that if we aren't improving and growing, we aren't going to reach our goals or help our clients in the way they need.
So, we are always striving to achieve excellence in all we do, as individuals and as a team.
Accountability is the act of being personally responsible for your actions, taking ownership in the result of your work and life in general.
Accountability is knowing that we can be relied upon to complete tasks when we say we will whilst ensuring they're done to the best of our ability.
Doing so allows us to create a relationship of trust and fulfilment with our colleagues and clients.
The Role
The A-Team are the most important people at Amplify.
They are the backbone of keeping our wheels turning and ensuring our clients are consistently satisfied. As a member of our support squad, you will provide essential holiday cover for our site-based team members. This role involves covering different client accounts, making friends with many of our people, and learning the unique service style and client experience for each client.
You must be someone who thrives on challenges and enjoys being adaptable, as every day will bring new and diverse experiences. Given the nature of our business and the unpredictability of operations, as an A-Team member, you must be prepared to be assigned to any location at short notice. Keeping a trusty notebook with your notes by your side is essential, as it could be a day or even a month before you revisit a site.
This role requires flexibility and a willingness to get involved in a variety of tasks, places, and interactions with different people. You will need to be a fast learner, ready to adapt quickly to new environments and client needs.
All our clients are based in London. Your working day will always be 9 hours, with shift times varying depending on where you are covering.
If you are friendly, adaptable, and enjoy a variety of jobs and interactions, this role is perfect for you
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Your day-to-day really does depend on where you are working that day or week.
In a nutshell your responsibilities may include some of all of the below:
· Being the professional and vibrant ambassador for all clients' customers, those who work there, those who pop-in, and those on the end of a phone or email
· Proactively manage whatever the day brings from bookings to tasks and being flexible to try anything new
· Taking ownership of the reception and meeting rooms and working with the wider service partners, particularly the hospitality team, for seamless delivery
· Being adaptable and ready to support in any area you are asked
· Building relationships with your colleagues and customers
The purpose of this JD is to focus attention on the most important aspects of the role. It is not intended to be a complete list of every duty and you will be working closely with the Operations Manager to support the needs of the business.
