Job Title: Hybrid Facade and Cladding Estimator

Location: Hinkley, 3 Days Office-Based, 2 Days Home-Based (Open to Negotiation)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facade and Cladding Estimator to join our team

in a hybrid working arrangement. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and

competitive estimates for facade, glazing, SFS (Steel Framing System), and cladding projects. The role

offers a combination of office-based and remote working, providing flexibility while maintaining strong

collaboration within the team.

This role is ideal for a highly motivated professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience in

estimating within the facade and cladding industry, looking for a dynamic and supportive work

environment.

Key Responsibilities:


• Estimate Preparation:

o Accurately prepare cost estimates for facade, glazing, SFS, and cladding projects from tender

documents, specifications, and drawings.

o Review and assess project requirements, conducting site visits where necessary to gather

relevant data.


• Cost Analysis:

o Analyze material costs, labor, equipment, and overheads to ensure competitive pricing.

o Prepare and evaluate subcontractor quotations to ensure the best value for the company.


• Project Documentation:

o Prepare detailed, clear, and comprehensive tender submissions.

o Maintain up-to-date records of all estimates, revisions, and correspondence.


• Client Liaison:

o Work closely with clients, architects, and project managers to clarify project requirements and

expectations.

o Provide expert advice on product options, value engineering, and design considerations.


• Team Collaboration:

o Collaborate with the technical and procurement teams to ensure accurate pricing and successful

project delivery.

o Assist in the preparation of pre-construction documents, including material and labor forecasts.


• Ongoing Monitoring:

o Monitor project costs during the construction phase to ensure budgets are adhered to and

variances are managed.

Key Skills & Experience:


• Minimum 5 Years' Experience:

o Proven experience as an Estimator in facade, glazing, SFS, and cladding, with a strong

understanding of the technical aspects and costs involved.


• Strong Knowledge of Industry Standards:

o Familiarity with current building regulations, standards, and materials used in facade and

cladding systems.


• Proficient in Estimating Software:



o Experience using estimating software and tools (e.g., Buildsoft, Estimator Express, or similar) to

prepare accurate bids.


• Exceptional Attention to Detail:

o Ability to assess complex specifications and produce detailed and precise estimates.


• Strong Communication Skills:

o Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and

internal teams.


• Time Management & Multitasking:

o Ability to manage multiple tenders and projects at once, while ensuring timely delivery and

maintaining high-quality standards.


• IT Proficiency:

o Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for managing data and producing reports.
