Role Overview

We are seeking a Delivery Manager who is experienced in delivering transformational change using best fit agile methodologies to join our high performing Projects & Programmes capability. As a Delivery Manager at FSP, you'll be central to the growth of our client relationships and the successful delivery of engagements within quality, time, cost, and scope parameters.

This role will be ideal for an individual who is enthusiastic about the pace and energy of a consulting environment and helping clients reach their goals.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    Lead cross-functional Agile teams, ensuring effective collaboration among developers, testers, product owners, and stakeholders. Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Agile Methodology Expertise:
    Drive the adoption and consistent application of Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Ensure teams adhere to Agile principles.
  • Delivery Oversight:
    Manage the end-to-end delivery of projects, from initiation to deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of products or features. Monitor progress and remove any impediments that hinder team performance.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Continuous Improvement & Metrics:
    Track and analyse key delivery metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.) to improve team performance. Encourage a mindset of iterative learning and adapting processes to increase efficiency and value delivery.
  • Client engagement and growth:
    Proactively identify new client opportunities that drive mutual success.
  • Effective planning:
    Demonstrate the ability to plan & consult on best approach/practice supporting effective utilisation of resources to ensure maximum efficiency and output.

    Effective Risk, Issue, Assumption, and Dependency Management, proactively identifying and mitigating challenges to ensure project success and resilience.

About you

  • 3 years of experience in a role as an Agile Delivery Manager
  • Experience of working in an Agile Delivery team, leading delivery rituals such as daily scrums, retrospectives, backlog refinement and prioritisation, utilising work management toolsets such as Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Possess a proven track record of managing projects & engagements across diverse industries
  • Experienced in managing and engaging with senior stakeholders
  • Experience of managing multi-disciplinary project teams, fostering collaboration, and maximizing the collective strengths of teams
  • You are at your best, when creating clarity and order from challenging consulting engagements
  • Demonstrate a focus for business and user outcomes as opposed to pre-defined outputs or deliverables
  • Product Management/Ownership experience desirable, to support our growing, multidisciplinary, team

Knowledge and experience of the following would be advantageous:

  • Expertise in delivering and consulting on Agile delivery methodologies and best practices
  • Certified Scrum Master and/ or Scrum Product Owner
  • Experience working in a consulting or professional services organisation.
