Role Overview

As Project Manager you will use an effective leadership and management style to deliver safe, timely, profitable and high-quality projects at our developments and build locations.

What you'll do

The following reflect the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:

  • Oversee the development and construction of projects from conception to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality, safely, on time, and to projected profit levels.
  • Take responsibility for health, safety, environment, and quality matters by ensuring compliance with regulations, implementing policies and procedures across operations, promoting site safety, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with the client on site and represent the company at progress meetings, and other forums, whilst always maintaining a professional manner. Delivering client satisfaction will be key to the role.
  • Liaise with external bodies, statutory authorities, and key stakeholders, portraying a professional and positive image at all times.
  • Ensure the project is on or ahead of programme, utilising programme management skills (both long term and short/medium term) as necessary.
  • With support from commercial staff, avoid contractual disputes.
  • Manage risk and opportunity effectively throughout the project.
  • In collaboration with the Commercial Team and Business Leadership, lead in the selection and effective management of the supply chain to deliver the project.
  • Ensure adequate resourcing, materials, and plans are available as required.
  • Manage project quality daily, ensuring work is delivered to the highest standard and in line with specifications and best practice.
  • Ensure quality management is recorded in accordance with the Quality Management Plan.
  • Raise technical queries and liaise with consultants for resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities throughout the project.
  • Provide clear leadership and direction to internal staff, subcontractors, consultants, and supply chain partners, promoting a collaborative environment.
  • Lead by example, ensuring processes are followed and technology is utilised where possible for efficiency.
  • Remain effective in unclear, complex, or pressurised situations.
  • Ensure project imperatives and stakeholder interfaces are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Address concerns, risks, and underperformance promptly, ensuring timely and appropriate action.
  • Contribute to progress reports for senior leadership.
  • Promote and live company values daily.
  • Promote equality of opportunity and foster a workplace where everyone feels safe and valued.
  • Portray a professional image at all times.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by the role.

What you'll bring

As Project Manager your main skills and experience will include:

  • Extensive experience in the management of Construction projects.
  • Chartered CIOB Membership or other relevant body
  • A Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering, with experience of implementing Engineering skills in the construction of Steel Frame buildings
  • A positive awareness of the Commercial Management of site issues
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme (5-day SMSTS)
  • CSR/CSCS Qualification or equivalent
  • Relevant experience of client and end user engagement
  • Experience in the Construction of Multi Storey Car Park works.
