Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a small team of accountants and bookkeepers working with UK clients.
  • Review VAT returns, CIS returns, payroll, and year-end accounts before submission.
  • Ensure all client deadlines are met and deliverables are accurate and complete.
  • Communicate clearly with the UK tax advisor to avoid missing information or unnecessary queries.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, accuracy, and efficiency in all work.
  • Foster a respectful and positive team culture based on cooperation and accountability.
  • Identify workflow or process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Prepare simple progress updates and reports for the practice owner.

Required Experience

  • 8-15 years of total accounting experience.
  • Minimum 5 years working with UK accounting or outsourcing for UK firms.
  • At least 2 years in a team leadership or managerial role.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong understanding of UK VAT, CIS, payroll, year-end accounts, and Companies House / HMRC filings.
