Sherborne Schools Group is seeking a dynamic and creative Catering Manager who will be responsible for leading a team to ensure the delivery of nutritious home-cooked food to our school community at Hanford Prep, utilising homegrown produce from the school's historic walled kitchen gardens wherever possible.

Hanford Prep is a day and boarding school for girls aged 7–13, set in the Dorset countryside. It offers a rural haven where girls can explore, grow, and build resilience in a joyful, character-rich setting, while achieving impressive results both in and beyond the classroom.

While the successful candidates primary place of work will be Hanford Prep the postholder will also be expected to contribute to and support initiatives across the wider Sherborne Schools Group. From time to time, they may be required to work at other schools or sites within the Group to meet the needs of the business. This role provides an exciting opportunity to play a central part in both the success of the individual school and the continued development of the Group as a whole.If you have experience in leading a team, hold a level 3 qualification in Professional Cookery/ Food & Beverage service or something similar and have an ability to demonstrate innovation and strategic direction in food planning and menu development then we would love to hear from you.

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, term time only with flexibility to work occasionally at events in the school holidays if required, for which overtime will be paid.

Salary: £30,500 per annumThe successful candidate will ideally commence in employment Monday 02 February.
