This role can be matched to the appropriate NHS Clinical pay scale for the successful candidate.

As Senior Lecturer in Health Sciences you can expect to be involved in:

  • Contributing to the research profile of the School by using knowledge and experience of current clinical practice to produce research that is of international standard.
  • Writing or contribute to publications or disseminate research findings in peer reviewed journals or using other appropriate media.
  • Delivering and contributing to the design of high-quality, demand-driven, and student- centred taught programmes.
  • Supervising undergraduate students during their student selected component module and individual research project.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Current qualification, full registration with the GMC and current licence to practise in medicine
  • In current clinical practice and commitment to remain in clinical practice for the duration of the KMMS contract
  • A research or professional doctoral degree (PhD or MD) in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Possess in-depth specialist knowledge in the discipline to work within established teaching and research programmes in the medical school
  • Evidence of income generation (e.g., through research grants, enterprise activity, consultancy, etc)
