GXO are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our B&Q site in Blyth – S81 8PU. You will lead a high performing team of flexible and engaged colleagues, focusing on delivering operational excellence at all times.

This is a full time, 6-month secondment position, where you'll be working on a '4 on 4 off shift' pattern. The working hours will rotate weekly between 07:00 – 17:00 and 13:00 – 23:00.

You'll be paid a salary of up to £30,000 per annum. What you'll do on a typical day:

Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the warehouse operatives, providing effective communication, leadership, succession planning, motivation, training and development Support the FLMs in achieving the warehouse/transport operational KPIs and service levels, whilst driving improvement initiatives across the siteManage and own all elements of the admin, stock and systems processes, being the point of contact for issues, and finding resolutionsMaintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

Experience of working within a fast-paced warehouse environmentBe a natural leader, able to coach others to drive and implement changeExperience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office
