Role Description

Reporting to the Director of Business Assurance & Risk, the role will lead a portfolio of assurance and risk activities, working collaboratively across the organisation and with co-sourced audit partners to deliver high-impact outcomes. If you're passionate about driving continuous improvement, influencing senior stakeholders, and modernising assurance practices, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Duties Include

  • Deliver high-quality assurance reviews and proactively follow up on audit actions with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate with our co-sourced internal audit and assurance partners to ensure timely and effective delivery of the internal audit plan.
  • Build strong relationships across the organisation to promote the value of assurance and risk management.
  • Champion innovation by identifying opportunities to modernise assurance practices and challenge existing methods.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience of leading internal audits across a complex organisation; however, external audit experience will also be considered.

This role offers hybrid working arrangements, working two days a week in the office based in Newcastle (Rye Hill House).
