About Us

The Dutch Maid Company is a well-established food manufacturer based in Buxton, dedicated to producing high-quality products that consistently meet customer and regulatory standards. We are now seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee goods intake and ensure all incoming materials meet specification standards.
  • Conduct prerequisite and process monitoring (e.g. hygiene checks, environmental controls, and equipment verification).
  • Carry out quality assurance checks, inspections, and product testing to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Perform shelf-life monitoring and maintain accurate records of products.
  • Support new product development (NPD) by preparing and assessing product samples.
  • Conduct organoleptic testing (taste, texture, and appearance assessments) to maintain product consistency.
  • Ensure all inspections, tests, and corrective actions are fully documented.
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to identify, resolve, and prevent quality-related issues.
  • Assist the Technical Manager with quality and technical activities, including audits, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements & Preferences

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong skills in Excel for data recording and reporting.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift Truck licence – preferred but not essential.
  • HACCP training – preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a quality control or food manufacturing environment – preferred but not essential (full training provided).
