Job Title: Refuse Collection Operative

Hours: Full time hours Monday to Friday

Shift Times: Between 6:45 AM and 2:45 PM

Hourly Rate: £16

Job Summary:

We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our refuse collection team. The role involves the safe and efficient operation of machinery on a refuse collection vehicle to collect a variety of waste types across the local borough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicle-mounted machinery for the collection of domestic and commercial waste
  • Handle and load various types of refuse into collection vehicles
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public
  • Maintain a strong awareness of health and safety procedures at all times
  • Support the driver and team to complete daily routes efficiently

Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £16.00 per hour
