About the Role

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a
Junior Technician / Apprentice Mechanic
to join our client. This is the perfect role for someone passionate about mechanics and eager to build a long-term career in the automotive or heavy vehicle industry.

Working alongside experienced HGV Technicians, you'll gain hands-on experience maintaining and repairing a range of commercial vehicles, learning the trade while earning and working toward a recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior technicians with vehicle inspections, servicing, and repairs.
  • Learn how to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
  • Help with MOT preparations and safety checks.
  • Carry out basic maintenance tasks under supervision (oil changes, filter replacements, brake checks, etc.).
  • Keep the workshop clean, safe, and well organised.
  • Complete training modules and coursework as required by your apprenticeship provider.
  • Follow all Health & Safety guidelines and company procedures.

About You

  • Enthusiastic about starting a career in mechanics or vehicle maintenance.
  • Willing to learn and follow instructions from experienced technicians.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing your training.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Science, Mechanical and Engineering Graduates preferred.
  • Post-graduates with the right to work experience are also considered.
  • A full UK driving licence (or working towards obtaining one) is beneficial.
