The opportunity
Unity empowers millions of creators worldwide to build groundbreaking real-time games, apps, and experiences across countless genres, platforms, and devices. As our technology stack has grown more powerful and complex, the need for real-world validation of innovations prior to broad release has become critical. The Production Verification (PV) Program embeds our Unity Studio Productions (USP) team directly into strategic partner game productions and ensures that every major advancement, optimization, or feature we build is proven in production, before it reaches our broader Unity ecosystem.

We are seeking a driven and experienced Technical Program/Project Manager (TPM) to join our growing team. As a PV TPM, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing Production Verification for complex technical projects from inception to completion. You will leverage your technical expertise, program and project management skills to ensure PV projects are delivered in a timely fashion and enable stakeholders to gain clarity on how well their Product increment meets Production needs. You'll also drive program improvements as we scale this still young and quickly growing program at Unity.

What you'll be doing

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and results, and provide clear progress updates.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, remove roadblocks, and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Lead and motivate multi-functional technical teams across all PV phases, fostering collaboration and effective written/verbal communication.
  • Build expertise in Unity development workflows and cloud services, enabling you to confidently, open, build, assess, and discuss Unity projects.
  • Champion production quality by ensuring PV scores reflect readiness and deliver value to customers.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Technical. Art or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in leading and delivering complex technical projects.
  • Experience in the gaming industry - ideally, you will have built games/projects within the Unity Editor.
  • Strong program and project management skills, including strategic planning, operating plans, internal communications, and proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify challenges early, develop effective solutions, and maintain momentum in high-pressure environments.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and foster productive stakeholder relationships.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and growth, staying current with evolving Unity technologies, industry trends, and production best practices.

You might also have

  • Experience with Unity's Editor, Cloud, and/or Grow services
