Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food and hospitality, along with the ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef with food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure that all dishes are presented beautifully and served promptly.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and special events.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a kitchen setting.
- Strong background in food production and preparation techniques.
- Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Proficient cooking skills with a solid understanding of various culinary techniques.
- Extensive kitchen experience, ideally within a restaurant environment.
- Demonstrated culinary experience with an emphasis on creativity and presentation.
- Knowledge of hospitality principles and customer service excellence.
- Strong leadership qualities, capable of guiding a diverse team.
