We're looking for a skilled Field Service Electrician to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot solar panel systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. This is a field-based, hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach.

Full UK Driving Licence required -_ Company Van provided _

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out scheduled inspections and servicing of solar PV systems to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity
  • Identify faults in solar panels, inverters, and associated wiring. Use testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair issues promptly
  • Replace defective components and ensure all repairs meet current electrical regulations and safety standards
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new solar PV systems, ensuring wiring and connections are completed to industry standards
  • Explain technical issues and solutions clearly to customers, provide advice on system upgrades, and maintain a professional, courteous approach at all times
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for all
  • Maintain accurate service records, complete detailed reports on system performance and repairs, and share feedback to improve processes
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify opportunities for efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction improvements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 18th Edition
  • NVQ Level 3
  • 2391 Test & Inspection
  • 2+ years in domestic electrical works
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Must live in or near Bristol, Gloucester, or Hereford

Desirable:

  • Solar PV wiring experience
  • Battery storage installation
  • 2372 or 2399 qualification
