Metro Traffic Services have a full time vacancy within their permit coordination team based in Dover. The successful candidate will be working in a busy office and will be responsible for planning and coordinating site specific permits with local Authority's and Stakeholders across the UK.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients to confirm their site specific permits & traffic management requirements
  • Work closely with local authorities & stakeholders when completing, submitting & managing all necessary permit applications required for site specific projects within a timely manner ie; Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders (TTRO), Site specific Licences, Parking Bay Suspensions & Bus Diversions etc.
  • Coordinating permits/traffic management for emergency or cancelled operations promptly & effectively
  • Requesting regular updates from the local authorities & stakeholders during the permit application stage to confirm the permits or to address any issues or additional requests promptly and effectively
  • Provide regular permit/license updates to clients and internal teams via email and teams meetings
  • Assist with day-to-day office tasks & to maintain accurate records of all permits and related documentation
  • Creating and issuing client quotations in a timely manner

Key Attributes/Qualifications;

  • Similar experience liaising with local authorities booking permits/Streetworks permits, including a good understanding of permit regulations and compliance requirements
  • Good knowledge of the New Roads and Streetworks Act (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act (TMA)
  • Ability to prioritise your own workload and be methodical in your approach and processing information effectively
  • Excellent time keeping and can work to specific permit deadlines and deliver results in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels
  • Can work well in a team or alone when completing day to day tasks and ability to multitask
  • High level of competence in the use of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and other IT systems
  • Outstanding attention to detail and must have great organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to changing needs of business
