Essential Responsibilities:
- Identify issues and recommend best practices for the administration of legal entities and subsidiaries.
- Lead functional projects and programs that contribute to business or process improvements.
- Analyze business trends to inform decision-making and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate corporate records and documentation.
Expected Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Governance & Controls Oversight Manager will support the effective operation of PayPal UK's Governance framework. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Executive and Board Governance, this role plays a key part in ensuring governance forums across PPUK, including the Outsourcing, Conduct and Customer Outcomes Committee (OCCO), Product Review Committee, Risk Committee, Asset and Liability Committee, and Executive Committee, run efficiently, transparently, and in line with UK regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of PPUK governance forums, including scheduling, agenda management and paper collation.
- Partner with content owners and Secretariat teams to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality reporting to Executive Committees and the PPUK Board.
- Assist in reviewing and editing committee papers, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with PPUK governance standards.
- Maintain governance trackers, actions and forward agendas to support effective follow-up and accountability.
- Help develop data-led, dashboard-style reporting that improves visibility and oversight across PPUK governance.
- Contribute to annual governance effectiveness reviews and follow-up actions.
- Support internal audit reviews, regulatory information requests and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the PPUK governance secretariat, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of committee activities.
Skills and Attributes
- Accomplished governance professional with good organisational skills, as well as a high commitment to quality with focus on accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarise complex information clearly.
- A proactive, self-motivated team player with the ability to meet multiple deadlines whilst ensuring expectations are managed throughout.
- Experience of drafting Board Reports and dealing with stakeholders, and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships and work flexibly across professional and operational boundaries.
- Interest in governance, regulatory affairs, and financial services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
- Feel excited about change and are looking to be part of a company that is growing and evolving.
- A commitment to being customer focused and proactively supporting the achievement of organisational initiatives, as well as able to anticipate business needs and forward plan.

Impact
This role provides a strong foundation in governance and risk oversight, offering visibility across senior forums and direct exposure to the UK leadership team. The successful candidate will help maintain high governance standards across PPUK while developing expertise in regulatory engagement and executive reporting.
