Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the practice, maintaining high standards of patient care, and managing a team of dental professionals and administrative staff. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with strong leadership skills to contribute to a welcoming and efficient practice environment.

Duties

  • Supervise and support dental practice staff, including receptionists, dental nurses, and hygienists
  • Manage appointment scheduling to optimise patient flow and minimise wait times
  • Oversee financial management, including billing, invoicing, and budgeting
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of infection control
  • Handle human resources responsibilities such as recruitment, staff training, and performance appraisals
  • Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with data protection regulations
  • Develop and implement policies to improve operational efficiency and patient satisfaction
  • Liaise with dental suppliers and manage inventory levels effectively
  • Promote a positive practice culture focused on excellent patient care and team collaboration

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a healthcare or dental setting
  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of human resources practices relevant to healthcare environments
  • Veterinary experience is considered a valuable asset but is not essential; relevant healthcare management experience is preferred
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional approach to patient interactions

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
