Are you ready to lead the largest and most strategically significant Professional Services organization in EMEA? Join AWS Professional Services as the UKI Area Director, where you'll drive transformational business outcomes across the UK and Ireland's most innovative enterprises. Operating at the intersection of strategic business transformation and operational excellence, you'll lead a high-performing organization responsible for multi-million dollars in revenue and bookings.
As UKI ProServe Area Director, you'll architect industry-defining transformations with marquee customers. Your strategic vision will directly support UKI's ambition to deliver billions in ARR by 2029 through first-of-a-kind solutions and transformational innovation.
Your role involves defining multi-year vision and operating plans for UKI ProServe, making critical decisions about resource allocation, partnership strategies, and go-to-market approaches in an environment where problems and opportunities are undefined. You'll regularly engage with C-level executives at the UK's largest enterprises and drive cross-functional initiatives that span multiple AWS organizations. As a member of the EMEA ProServe leadership team, you'll influence organization-wide goals while balancing P&L responsibility with strategic customer investments that drive broad AWS impact.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead and scale the UKI Professional Services organization in a leader-of-leaders role, driving operational excellence and team development

• Define and execute multi-year strategic vision and operating plans for UKI ProServe, directly impacting EMEA-wide organizational goals

• Drive significant in bookings and revenue through both direct delivery and strategic partnerships

• Establish and maintain executive relationships with UKI's largest customers

• Lead industry-defining transformations and first-of-a-kind solutions that establish AWS's competitive advantage in the region

About the team
AWS Professional Services is at the forefront of the AI revolution as architects of change. The UKI Professional Services organization is the largest and most complex ProServe team in EMEA. Our team combines deep industry expertise with technical excellence to deliver solutions that drive real business value for customers. You'll work alongside consultants, architects, and industry specialists who are pioneering first-of-a-kind solutions and setting new benchmarks for professional services delivery. Our culture emphasizes innovation, customer obsession, and continuous learning, with opportunities to shape both customer outcomes and AWS's strategic direction in one of the world's most dynamic markets.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or 10+ years relevant experience

• 15+ years of professional experience in technology consulting, enterprise software, or cloud services

• 10+ years' experience leading technical and sales teams as a leader of leaders in professional services or management consulting

• Experience managing P&L responsibility with accountability for $50M+ in revenue

• Experience working with global organizations and leading geographically distributed teams

• Experience establishing and maintaining C-level executive relationships with enterprise customers

• Experience leading strategic initiatives in undefined problem spaces requiring extensive industry and technology expertise

• Experience with cloud computing platforms and enterprise technology solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or advanced degree in relevant field

• Experience in AWS Professional Services, Big 4 consulting, or similar customer-facing technology organization

• Deep expertise in UK market dynamics and one or more industry verticals (financial services, media, retail, public sector)

• Experience leading organizations with 100+ team members across multiple management layers

• Experience with complex, multi-year transformation programs with enterprise customers
