Foundry worker

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Foundry Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be involved in various processes within the foundry, contributing to the production of high-quality metal castings. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain foundry equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.

• Perform grinding tasks to prepare materials for casting and assembly.
• Utilise hand tools and tooling effectively for various production tasks.
• Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.

• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Skills

• Competent in using hand tools and tooling for various assembly tasks.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
• Previous experience in grinding, welding, or similar roles is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
