The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and ensuring the safety of all personnel and property. This role requires a professional with strong observational skills, conflict management abilities, and relevant security experience or training. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or surveillance is highly valued. The Security Officer will play a critical role in safeguarding assets and enforcing security protocols to uphold organizational safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
  • Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to observe ongoing activities
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies with appropriate action
  • Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials and managing visitor logs
  • Provide first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate response to medical emergencies
  • Manage conflict situations professionally, de-escalating disputes and maintaining order
  • Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or vandalism and reporting incidents
  • Write detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, or security breaches for record-keeping purposes
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during investigations or emergencies as needed

Requirements

  • Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and security technology tools
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain alert during long shifts and work flexible hours as needed
  • Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations (if applicable)
  • Ability to pass background checks and any required drug screenings
