Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving roles, including van driving and delivery driving, and possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations. This position requires excellent communication skills and mechanical knowledge to ensure the safe and efficient transport of goods.

Duties

• Operate delivery vehicles, including vans and flatbed lorries, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Ensure timely delivery while adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to maintain safety standards and report any mechanical issues.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods at both the warehouse and delivery sites.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, times, and any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise routes and improve delivery efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a van driver or delivery driver; flatbed experience is a plus.
• Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous.
• A commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations is essential.
