We are seeking a friendly and efficient Front of House Team Member to join our newly opened pub . This role involves delivering exceptional customer service and bar skills, ensuring smooth running of the bar and overseeing restaurant operations, serving and waiting tables and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. Previous restaurant experience is essential training will be provided. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and manage reservations to ensure a seamless arrival experience
  • Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages in accordance with company standards
  • Assist with food preparation and ensure the presentation meets quality expectations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and service stations
  • Handle cash transactions and operate the till efficiently using basic maths skills
  • Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing honest recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety standards at all times
  • Support kitchen staff during busy periods, assisting with basic food preparation when required
  • Manage time effectively to serve guests promptly during peak hours
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest queries and resolving any issues professionally

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
  • Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to engage with guests effectively
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
  • Demonstrated time management skills to ensure timely service during busy periods
  • Willingness to learn new skills such as upselling techniques and food preparation processes
