We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and self-motivated team player to join the Licensing Service at Warrington Borough Council.

The role

This is a full-time role and as a Licensing Officer, you will play a key part in delivering an effective and responsive licensing service. Dependent on your experience and qualifications, if successful you would be taking ownership of a wide range of services from routine to more complex and sensitive work, including, Gambling, Taxi Licensing, Miscellaneous licences and the Licensing Act 2003 and will work closely with partners to protect the public and to help businesses to obtain a wide range of licences and trade consents.

What's needed?

In this front-line role, you will have the ability to resolve problems using first principles and applying a general understanding of licensing law. You will be able to put into practice appropriate scenarios based on your knowledge and experience and should have good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to adapt these skills to a variety of audiences is key to this role.
