About the Role

As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our catering team to deliver tasty, nutritious meals every day. Working under the guidance of our Chef, you'll help with food preparation, serving meals, keeping the kitchen clean and organised, and ensuring all hygiene and safety standards are met.

You'll also have plenty of opportunities to get to know our residents, chatting with them at mealtimes or helping serve tea during social activities and celebrations. Every day is different, and your work truly makes a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chef in preparing and serving meals for residents
  • Keep kitchen, dining, and food storage areas clean and tidy
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene guidelines
  • Put away deliveries safely and efficiently, following stock rotation practices
  • Support with washing up and waste management
  • Communicate politely and respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors
  • Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly
  • Help ensure that residents' dietary needs are understood and met

About You

Experience in a similar kitchen or catering role is helpful but not essential — we'll provide full training and ongoing support.
