About the Role:
Roles and responsibilities will include;
Proactively carrying out daily maintenance tasks and building fabric repairs under the management of the Facilities Maintenance Manager to achieve agreed standards as expected of a champion winning Formula One Team.
Carrying out repairs and maintenance including re-lamping, ceiling repairs, wall & door/joinery repairs, carpet and flooring repairs, tiling, plumbing, helpdesk tasks, furniture churn, meeting room layouts and general repairs and housekeeping activities.
Upholding and contributing to workplace safety through proactive and responsive maintenance support.
To be successful you will:
Possess proven practical experience and a demonstrated ability to apply hands-on technical skills effectively and confidently.
Possess well-rounded general maintenance skills with a practical and creative approach to solving problems and improving work quality and efficiency. Relevant experience may include carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and general building maintenance.
Be able to represent the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team ethos and core values with a positive, can-do attitude and excellent communications skills both verbally and written, building clear, respectful and inclusive relationships with colleagues, customers, contractors and stakeholders.
Demonstrate a resourceful and logical approach to work, delivering high quality results in a timely manner with a "right first time" mindset, proactively recognising potential problems before they escalate to help prevent future maintenance issues and downtime.
Be able to work effectively in a small, multiskilled facilities team that recognises and values the strengths of others and works collaboratively to achieve the department's and organisations shared goals.
Be proactive and self-motivated with the ability, once trained, to confidently and independently assess and prioritise tasks whilst communicating with key departmental personnel to understand and respond to maintenance needs.
Be confident using technology, having a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and be comfortable using computers and smartphones as part of daily tasks including responding to and logging maintenance reports and communicating with the wider team.
Have an understanding of risk assessment processes, being able to identify potential hazards, think critically and apply safe working practices in line with H&S guidelines.
Confidently interact with external contractors to coordinator repairs, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to required standards.
