Java Developer | FinTech | London (Hybrid) | £65,000 base

I'm working with a growing FinTech who are building modern financial technology solutions and looking for a talented developer to join their growing engineering team in London.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders and other engineers to deliver impactful, production-ready systems in a fast-moving environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in Java who wants to build, ship and own end-to-end features that make a real difference.

What you'll do:
  • Design, develop and deploy cloud-based Java applications used by the business daily.
  • Collaborate directly with product and business teams to turn ideas into reliable solutions.
  • Take full ownership of services from design to release, ensuring clean, maintainable code.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions and help shape best practices across the team.
Tech stack & experience:
  • Java (ideally 17+).
  • Spring Boot or Micronaut frameworks.
  • Cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred).
  • Working with NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB or similar).
  • Understanding of REST APIs, microservices and CI/CD pipelines.
About you:
  • 2-3 years' hands-on development experience.
  • Strong problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Curious, proactive and comfortable working directly with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicator who enjoys taking ownership and seeing projects through.
