The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of empathy, patience, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of those they serve.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personal care services, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with dietary needs as required.
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe living environment.
  • Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to develop personalised care plans.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in in-home care or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • A caring and patient demeanour with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation purposes.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is desirable.
