Hi I'm Harry, I'm 23 and I live in Hackney with my family. I'm looking for a male support worker/buddy to hang out with me, help me get out and about, and support me with everyday stuff.
I'm a sociable guy - I love spending time with people, having a laugh, and doing fun things. I'm into football, swimming, going to the cinema, trains and playing games on my iPad. If you enjoy those too, we'll get on great
I have learning difficulties and epilepsy, which means I sometimes need a bit of help with memory, problem-solving, and coordination. I do have mild seizures a couple of times a week, but I bounce back quickly with a bit of support. I also need help with some self-care tasks.
Right now, I'm working on becoming more independent - things like shopping, using public transport, and exploring London. I'd really like someone who can support me to build my confidence while keeping an eye on safety.
What You'll Get:
- £17.00/hour weekdays | £18.00/hour weekends, double pay for bank holidays
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (pro rata)
- Free DBS check
- Induction and training (including The Care Certificate)
- Regular supervision and support from my care team
- Ongoing help from my Case Manager, Occupational Therapist and HR Team
- We are Supportive - It matters to us that our clients and staff know that we care.
- We have Integrity - We can be trusted to work in a professional, honest and transparent way.
- We are Client Centred - My aspirations are at the heart of everything we do.
- We are Quality Focused - We set high standards and aim to exceed them.
- We are Positive - We find solutions and empower others.
To work with me, you'll need:
- Proof you can work in the UK
- Satisfactory references
- An enhanced DBS check (don't worry - a conviction doesn't always mean you can't work with me)
