Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pizza and Pasta Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing authentic Italian-style pizzas and pasta dishes using fresh ingredients, maintaining high culinary standards, and ensuring excellent presentation and taste in every plate served.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present a variety of pizzas and pasta dishes according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.
  • Make fresh pizza dough, sauces, and pasta (if applicable) daily.
  • Operate and maintain pizza ovens and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner during busy service hours.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory, ordering, and ingredient preparation.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes or specials.
  • Uphold consistent quality, portion control, and presentation standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pizza Chef, Pasta Chef, or similar role in an Italian or Mediterranean kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, particularly pizza dough fermentation and pasta preparation.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation standards.
  • Team player with good communication and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent training.
  • Experience using wood-fired or stone pizza ovens.
  • Basic knowledge of Mediterranean ingredients and cooking techniques.
