Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Service Manager to join our team at Prime Care Services Ltd in Cardiff. This vital role involves supporting the Service Manager in delivering exceptional care within our a Supported Living Service dedicated to individuals with complex needs. Your contribution will help us uphold our commitment to improving quality of life through expert support and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Manager in overseeing daily operations within a small Supported Living Service
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing individual care plans tailored to each person we support.
  • Supervise and mentor staff to ensure high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead by example in delivering compassionate, person-centred support for the young people we support.
  • Ensure medication administration is carried out accurately and safely.
  • Promote a positive environment that encourages teamwork and professional development.
  • Assist with audits, documentation, and reporting to maintain quality standards.
  • Contribute to ongoing staff training and development

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior role within a similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of Autism, Learning Disabilities and mental health conditions.
  • Competence in developing and reviewing care plans.
  • Ability to handle medication administration responsibly.
  • Good communication skills with all stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in health and social care.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with complex needs is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Positive Behaviour Support
  • A commitment to reducing restrictive practices
  • Sound knowledge and commitment to safeguarding vulnerable people
  • Must have a full UK driving licence and own vehicle

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
