We're looking for an enthusiastic Equine Technician to help us deliver outstanding care for our horses and support practical learning experiences for our students. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.

What you'll do:

  • Provide exceptional day-to-day care and welfare for our horses.
  • Prepare workspaces and equipment for practical lessons on the yard.
  • Support staff and students during teaching sessions, sharing your technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized environment in line with health and safety standards.

What we're looking for:

  • A strong commitment to animal welfare and equine husbandry.
  • Practical experience working with horses in a professional setting.
  • A good understanding of health and safety (training provided in areas such as first aid and fire marshalling).
  • A proactive, team-focused attitude and willingness to support learners.

While this post is based at Suffolk Rural (Otley), Suffolk New College operates across multiple campuses, and you may occasionally be required to travel between sites.

The role currently requires working: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
